2) Why do you think the author chose to end the novel this way? (Please don't say " to make it more interesting and keep us guessing.")
From the beginning, the story was about restricting change and rejecting anything that it was considered out of the norm.I did some research on the Cultural revolution and it basically was the oppression of the intellectuals. Reeducating was basically a way of stripping them of their former "worldly" intelligence, or any intelligence that they would receive if they were in real school. Anything that is about defying the law for the sake of passion and love, is considered romantic to me.With the little seamstress she was the perfect example of a person who eyes just needed to be opened up. She was vulnerable, and her yearning to know more, experience more, be more than just a mountain girl is what made it so predictable that leaving was the best thing to do. The Little seamstress knowledge through those books makes her yearn for more. That's why she leaves the ones that taught her how to live. Ma and luo are enraptured by the little Seamstress. She is a symbol to them beauty and love and her desire for a different life to go beyond just books and story. But it isn't just about he books and stories. Its about the power of imagination. Ma and luo are story tellers, and the whole town is enchanted by the stories they tell. The whole point of their story is not only to introduce the world to the villagers and Little seamstress by to provoke imagination. All the elements of restrictions and imagination ties up at the end with the little seamstress leaving. This surprising but not unpredicible ending left luo and Ma flabbergasted, but I think they understood. All they needed was closure. He didn't let the book end that way to "keep us guessing" but to keep us alive.

Othello-TRAgic VISion
The characters in Othello, are fed constant lies which only nourishes the tragic hero in this play, Iago. It nourishes Iago's greedily goal of the bane of others. This unoriginal act of lies and deceit, manifest unto an obsession which doesn't short any shorter than death. His once adored wife, Emilia was the first one to unveil his true intentions, tragically dies by the hand of her husband. Othello's wife, blinded by pure love and dedication, is also killed by her husband. Rodrigo's drive is for the love of Desdemona, a hapless goal that is too far ahead for Rodrigo to see that he cannot win what he desires. Cassio, has caught the eye of almost everyone. His actions of success and of admiral beauty set him up for a tragic character in the theme of Shakespeare's plays: desire. All of these characters share the general theme of desire and love. The conniving Iago started out only aiming at Othello with jealously, but once once a ball is always in motion, it will knock down whoever it comes into contact with. Though Iago acted out on his emotions, he was not the cause. Othello's tragic vision has a coating of irony. Othello, a good soul, is the cause of Iago's deceit and successful plan to make everyone as miserable as he is.
Iago recognizes himself as the outsider of a closely knit group. His personality is indifferent. If he sees what he doesn't have, he'll try to have it. In this case, he acts as if every one's life was just a little game that he wasn't invited to play. He sees Othello's happy life of worldly respect and marriage as if he wasn't let in on a secret. He is driven by a strong emotion of jealousy. The specific relationships he observes are on a level he is not accustomed with. This is what makes him evil. He sees what he doesn't have and tries to take away for pure fun. He can observe a person's demeanor and fully know their weaknesses: "The Moor is of free and open nature, that thinks men honest that but does not seem so"(Othello). In Iago Soliloquies, he plots his plan of a dominoes downfall so meticulously one might wonder how could anyone be as evil as him? Iago's true self was unfolding by each act. The only person who is at at least fully sane and fully informed could not be less bright than Roderigo himself.
Roderigo suffers on a level of his own. A wealthy foolish man falls "in love" with intention by forbidden. He is a pawn of Iago: "Thus do I ever make my fool my purse:"(Othello). He suffers by Othello's win of his prize, Iago's forthcoming betrayal, and his death. Roderigo was only as good as everyone thought he was. He was nothing.
Emilia is the most pivotal character in the play. In the beginning of the play, she was not blind to her husband's actions only misinformed or not informed at all. Emilia's deeds were only driven by her husband whom she had loved for. She could even imagine her husband would risk her life to save his game. Her brave and overt demeanor found truth that directly in front of her eyes. She live by the rule of home domestic dedication to a husband. She purposely tried with all her might to live by that was right. Iago saw her s something different. She was just taken advantaged of. As she describes, wives are the tools of men, and until they are needed they are left in the shed. As husband and wive this is tragic. Love was completely driven out of his head, while jealousy was conquering his thoughts. This irony of cause circles back to Othello.
Desdemona is the opposite of Emilia. While they share many similarities, the quality which makes them different is the psychology. Desdemona everlasting role of innocence and love during the play is not even changed in the slightest even when she is informed of her imaginary fault.
The tragic vision in the play collects into a murky pool defiled with lust, envy, immutable love, and betrayal. Each of the character's struggles end up stuck in the mud of the irony of love. The one thing we can say in the end is that tragedy's always end in death.

"Baby, You're so hot BOOM!!!!!!"
Do you believe that people can be born innately evil or is evilness something that is learned? By evil, I mean any act that is mean-natured, cruel, and/or intentionally harmful either physically or mentally.
In America, people mostly learn the natural evil from Disney movies (they take over our lives!!) at least that's how i learned it. Its someone who is pure evil. The Villain who goes out of his/her way just to ruin other people's lives....or make theirs better (self preservation). For example, this book I'm reading right now, In the Time of the Butterflies(which is based on a true story) is generally about four girls/women tying to overthrow the Dominican govt. There is a dictator, Trujillo who is an perfect example of that I'd like to call selfish evil (is there a such thing?idk my bff, Jill). As I was reading the book, this post topic came in to mind and I knew El Jefe was perfect for this role. His dictatorship was defined by greed, a rigid control over the Dominican people, and unspeakable brutality. He had immense power. He could do whatever he wanted when ever he wanted only because people were afraid of him. He actually rose to power in the most devious, but cunning, ways. He murdered in order to receive a higher rank and last of all he created one of the most deadliest sins in his higher rank officer. To sum it all up, he raped dozens of girls and women which could be the most nefarious thing anyone can do(the book was labels as fiction so I looked this all up).So if you need an example, he one At least in my opinion.
So yes, I believe that people can be created evilly, and by that, I'll explain here....

"Oh who can tell! Save SHE whose heart hath tried!"
What makes love so complicated?
I see the way your acting like you're somebody else gets me frustrated?
There are a number of different ways that you can express love(obsession:Hagar-I can't believe she died of a broken heart!) but in the end its all the same. Writing a post on love is pretty tiring so this might take a while! The question I asked so many times is Why is love soooooo complicated? Because it shouldn't be. Because when you KNOW, you KNOW! the stuff that comes after that all falls into place. But as I implied before in earlier posts, life is not a fairy tale and I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as love at first sight. Love might be complicated because you never know when you KNOW! People don't take risks! Society bucks people up!(He likes penny colored hair ,silky hair!)Gee this is getting me fired up! What makes love so complicated ? What makes love so complicated? The more and more I write that question down the more and more I'm asking myself that there should be no questions about Love because love just is. Love is when instead of ignoring....adore.anyway love is something one can not explain or describe because love is too personal. It depends on what kind of love it is...love/hate. To me, love can't be complicated. It is something so delicate and so precious that can never be mistaken. It is a feeling you have never felt before in your entire life. Well that's what "in love" feels like. Unconditional for me, is a different thing all together. It may be the strongest love there is...but what should I know?Just think: you you think you love someone and care about them so much your life depends on it? then you find out that love is a lie. A facade for social acceptability?

See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!
One of the absolutely most mainest things I ever in my entire life(16 years) have learned from life experiences and other people's experiences is to never, I mean never...depend on someone for help. That Also goes hand in hand with never trusting anyone including people who have known for all your life(16 years). Also never look forward to anything nice and happy, cuz if you do you'll get hurt and disappointed in yourself and others. I guess that's all a part of growing up.When you grow up, you have to be independent confident, strong yada yada yada. I learned
depressing me one bit at the most stupidest young age that you get hurt by the people you THOUGHT you loved. With all those strong emotions of hate/love, betrayed, loneliness, annoyed... comes perseverance to excel and focus on other things that don't leave you face down grasping for breath. Ehh this aint cuz although I like the idea of staying a kid, sometimes you just have to face the facts and get on with your life and be normal like any the human being. I don't know what else to talk about that might make this a little bit more entertaining so ya if you already started reading then stopped becuz of thoughts of depressing surround your life, its ok. But I love writing about this stuff so see ya wouldn't wanna be ya.

The best way out is through
life is but a walking shadow,
a poor player who struts and frets his hour upon the stage
and then is heard no more,
it is a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury,
signifying nothing
Family and the hardest blog to talk/write about for. So I might not write very long in this one. Maybe it is a lack there of.
Okay, here are the facts:
My favorite color is blue. I like Pizza. I like singing. And last but certainly not all of it... Writing. I Feel that what I have to say, write, and blah does not matter in the scheme of things.
"Of Course its all in your mind Harry, but why on earth should you think that it isn't real?"
There are important matter at hand and visit http://www.invisiblechildren.com/

If we can't live together, we're gonna die alone!
these little wonders-these twist and turns of fate
After all the discussions in class about Oedipus, Harold Crick and the seemingly endless circle of fate and responsibility, what do you walk away with knowing, understanding, doubting, or wondering?
I have always be enraptured with wondering of life and the meaning. I don't know of this has anything to do with Philosophy, what am I talking about everything has do with with Philosophy! I Really want to understand the meaning of life, the dilemmas everyone has to face. I read Sophie's World about Three times! So I was basically introduced to philosophy but I kinda still don't understand(maybe I'll read it a 4Th time!). Well, I was always taught that think with your brain, not with your mouth, so I do do(he he-I'm so immature) wonder alot on the thoughts of fate and stuff. But I completely understand how Harold crick is noble about his fate and stuff.(It was because he faced his fate, knowing his fate, and still did the right thing, RIGHT?!!) But It did take me quite awhile to get the Oedipus nobility. I was like was he noble and his wife not? They both seriously bucked up themselves!. Then like three days later it was all clear as a midsummer night's dream...Anyway in the mist of fate, responsiblity is important! I alway's have doubted myself even over the most simpleist things so I may doubt myself even when I doubt somwthing(I doubt that I have doubt).
Anyway, I finally understood how fate resonsiblity goes hand and hand with nobility with does or doesn't decide our fate. Responsiblity to me The only thing I understood was that the questions that we want answered, then we find the answers, and those answers only led to other questions around the answers....which leads to this questions: are we meant to have these answers?, is there no final answers to be found?

Fate or Free Will
Either we have absolute free will, or we have no free will at all, or we have a certain measure of free will. I believe I have the will to be free. I define fate no something that will happen, but has already happened. I don't define free will as doing everything that you want like flying, lifting a building or breathing in nothingness(space).I was watching the Matrix the other day, and when Neo(Keanu Reeves is mein mann!) was presented to the oracle, she describes his life not as something that will come to be, but is. Neo just has to figure out HOW this happens, HOW he will decide his fate(same as Oedipus). God ultimately decides our fate, our lives, but does it really matter(predestination). Do we really want to waste our lives pondering our existence? This pondering only creates more questions for us that can be never answered. Because... TRUTH IS RELATIVE!The HOW part is free will. Its not like I'm saying both but... how can you not? This kinda creates a little paradox in if our lives are predestined, then how do live them? But if you don't believe in that higher power than I guess you are basically stuck. I define free will as: free thought, control on weather I skip school or not go to school. But there are restrictions... Society...our parents! We were conditioned to think a certain way...wait.. that's conformity. In religion the free will seems to be very very confusing but whatever. I'm not saying... you can't be whatever you want to be... But lets take about free will on a grander scale: marriage, career choice, deaths. I really want to say both but she won't let me. Anyway, is there true love? Are you and that certain person meant to be together, forever? It is fate for you to be poor, rich(environment). The point is that you can not control fate, if it has to happen, it will happen. So what the point of questioning these things. For example: horoscopes are all about fate(L-O,L-O,L-O,L-O-V-E!) and some people think that fate is great because you get to fall in love on the first of November.I think that that believing in fate make is more interesting because a higher power has to be involved in this and that's just amazing!I, in particular, don't like thinking to deeply on life.......it depresses me.

Love and let live
I would choose :Live a long life, but remain known only to a small group of people. (be an average Joe).
Because Although I love to stand out and be especially known for something that could advance the human race and my name would become an household name and be widely known across the Universe, I don't think I could be on my top priority of things to be known by people I don't know. I rather have been grateful that i have touched 1 because it is special.Life is the greatest thing in the world. I would like to stretch out my life's events. The longer it is the more happier I'll be. It's not like I'm OK with being an Average Jane but you learn more from experience and experience =time.I am not that mush concerned about people remembering me after I'm dead cuz I won't remember them. life is way much important er than being recognized by something like extremely stupid like being rich.I like the kind of recognition that only you know its very important( the only way I can explain it is that its quiet).

When i was a young laddie girl
wow! There are so many books that I read when I was a kid. Well. In elementary school we had this star program for reading, and every year someone would win the program in grades 1-5. Well I was a huge nerd back then so I read just about every book in that library from "Authur" to everything else. So I won one year. Anyway...Like in 3rd grade or something even though they were like 2nd grade reading book. I read all the Authur books like crazy. That was only because I would watch the show. My favorite character was D.W. of course. My Brother said I was like D.W. to him only because he thought I was really annoying to him. I don't really know why I was enraptured by the character D.W. beacuse now I think she was a little smart A tryin' to get up in everybody's Bizz-nass. Those characters in the books and shows are really memorable because they all matched a type of personality of the kids who went to my school. As I went in to 4th grade I decided that was more like that tomboy girl, what's her face. And also there was this 16 yr old(looked like it) kid in our 4 th grade and he reminded me of Binky. And now as I think about that book and show(mostly the book), i realize 8 yr olds aren't that smart and deal with complicated problems like faceing puberty.

Siddhartha
"The world, friend Govinda, is not perfect or on a slow journey toward perfection; no, it is perfect every moment; all sin already bears its forgiveness within itself; every little boy already bears the old man within himself, every infant bears death, every dying man bears eternal life. No one is able to look at someone else and know how far along on his journey he is; in the highwayman and dice player lurks a Buddha, in the Brahman lurks the highwayman." p. 77 Siddhartha
Basically, This quote speaks to me is that according the universe and its other micro and mega objects, time is nothing. Life is part of the cycle it. Everything happens for a reason and there is no way to reverse it because it doesn't happen case it already is. There is no need to worry about how things could be because it probably will be(Being there is no past, present, nor future).Everything seems to come from one source. We westerners think that is totally insane in the membrane because we are so focused on the here and now and soul. Siddhartha had a few western and eastern philosophy in it like the idea to truly understand you have to try it(or something along those lines). But with the "all object are not unique. nOt important..and love everything" Some people belive you can hate anything...

I don't go to high school...i just go to school high
This is going to be difficult because I measure out my life with a number of things. I'm always things about the possiblites of tomorrow(literally). My preteen expectations of high school had gone awry. Then I came to a realization that high school isn't sbout fitting in---its about standing out. When people oringinally try to fit in, they stand out. Then it changed again to something that has nothing to do with school at all. I measure out my life with exspectations not the now. What will happen what could happen. Not taking everthing to the negitive.I measure out my life with weekdays becasue I now have no weekends. The Good Days, The Bads Days, the Good Years, The Wonder Years...

Icon!!
Barbie----
It started in 1959-from oringinal anorexic white blond haired barbie, to the black one with the afro,...and so on. Many young girls(some particular boys) like to play dress up, do her hair, and escape into an imaginative world of make believe. For young women, Barbies to them meant how a woman should look. The first barbie was first meant to look like a model. Everyone loves this perfect icon of the american doll.Over the years changes have altered from the chest to eyes. And eventually...skin color! The actual word "barbie" is come into terms of a girl being shallow, blonde,...barbie..icon for anorexia. Today there are different versions of barbie but oringinally, its all the same.

"Sometimes you had to face it. You had to march right into the ugly middle. Otherwise you ended up flat against the wall, creeping fearfully around the edge of your life"-one of my favorite books
To Hope:
"When in my solitary hearth I sit,
And hateful thoughts enwrap my soul in gloom;
When no fair dreams before my 'mind's eye' flit,
And the bare heath of life presents no bloom;
Sweet Hope, etheral balm upon me shed,
And wave thy silver pinions o'er my head..." Keats
I hate waiting. All my life I have been sitting idly waitng on poeple, news, and hope. I had to teach myself at an early age not to depend on people so much. Reading literarture among other things leave me with a greater feeling. Hope is something that no one can take away(though they try). So getting lost in a good book, or a play or a movie or... isn't a distraction its something good
